Well sports fans, it was another stunning lack of physical activity last Sunday through Monday, didn't quite break our record for longest sitting at a game but we sure as hell took gold and the record in "longest time getting a game to work then not playing it" with a whooping 5 hours at Neverwinter nights + the 2 expansions (shadows and hordes). We couldn't played the normal game or shadows but we wanted to start at level 15 in the hordes expansion but due to the bastard entrance we couldn't get it working.
Stv was up to his usual trick of leaving the game early, as in a stunning move, he lagged out of the Homeworld 2 4-way-deathfest in which no less, and probably more than, 7 battlecrusiers were lost with all hands.
In R&D we found new levels of difficulty in AoE2 when we tried to play on some Water maps producing at least a 2-fold increase in the computers cheating algorithms. Swamped by legions of ships all 4 of us were unable to advance even to the castle age, a solution is in development but has yet to be pioneered.

Thats all the news from the front this week, now onto an interesting idea.
There were days when Ro an I used to play over the net, now the connections for almost all of us rock out - so why don't we put them to good use? Post here, maybe we could set up a weekly meet or someshit, you know it'd rock out.

Apparently there was LANage the other day... sorry I missed it. No transport and my friend from Uni was coming over for a quick visitthat afternoon as well. Apologies to Leslino for cancelling his call to my mobile... I was on my bike in the pissing rain and late for work. (yes, really)

Anyway, with advance warning I should be up for the next one... possibly.

Okay-dokey chaps, hum... I'm sort of "in the shit" once again re: Medicine. But I really want to do this Summer thing because our future summers are going to be eaten.
Okay, Wise - Report on the "family summer home" anomaly you detected. Also, have you talked with parentals with regards to our crashing there like a 40 megaton nuclear warhead? Or discussed the "helpful" arrangements we could make? Could you also email me the location of this base? (and any helpful travel hints seeing as you've been to Italy and I haven't, infact - feel like finding some chirpy cheap flights?) Also, do you have sh-e's number?
EvilD - Do recon on these football ground locations you are so crazed about and work out how easy travel etc is. I also need you to email or text me Lexicon's number.

I think we should all Get to France. Or alternatively, somewhere else in europe this summer. It's pretty much going to be the last "Summer" that I'll ever have to call my very own so I'd like to do something special/hardcore for it.
We could do Europe, do Japan even maybe. Maybe fit in the West highland way or something afterwards too. Let's just all pass our exams and then have all Summer to fuck about. What say ye? Put down your interest and what you're thinking, leave the money till later (famous last words ;)

Well, I arrived expecting some measure of technical incompitance but by some mircile Stv, Lex, Dave and Jones had managed to all find each other on the network and were, in fact, playing a game of Flablablo. However, and I swear I did not make this up, they'd managed to forget who was hosting... I ask you. So after several failed attempts to connect to Stv (who 'thought' he may have been hosting) and after checking his laptop to see if any nasty firewalls were dening me (he alt-tabbed) I suspected another was hosting but by this stage the others had managed to convince themselves that Stv was infact hosting. So they decide to restart the hostage and so David begins by logging out. The wails and screams of geeks denied their precious "items" came next as we discovered that it was infact David who had been hosting and had managed to completely forget...
So that was cool. Forgot to take my digi-cam so no pics :( but hey, you had to be there.

My Birthday!!!

Well, unfortunatly I turn 20 on the 4th of December... It's a Sunday, which is pretty cool I guess. Anywho, I'm extending an invite to all from school etc to mosé on up to my flat say Saturday or Friday or some such a time. Space is available for all, but I only have 1 sleeping bag so I'd bring one up if you can.
Don't have any plans as of yet, BUT I was thinging of a LAN... Interested? Of course it would be pretty hard for people to haul up big machines for the weekend just... But there aren't really many machines up here. Hmmm... I guess I could try and steal some...

Anywho to recap! I want you all here for some crazy Drinking/gaming/annoying my annoying neighbours!

Ah I see...

Good plan. But it's just getting people to get in here... they all seem to be avoiding the internet (at least for anything other than email and porn).

I'll whack a link up on ye old blog, since everyone seems to be using that as a directory last time i checked.

As for gaming. Our IT people have fuxored our internal network so we can't connect to people for music/game sharing (even in hall anymore) and any external connection is uber slow, like 56K speed (or worse).

It's not a bl0g as such. More a place for us to arrange to meet and so on and so forth, perhaps even a place to post such comments as only other Dollar veterans would understand ;)
I still advocate the use of personal blogs - I'm not trying to get us to all blog together. I think this will be quick and easy and out there. If enough people join there should be updates often enough for people to come here and see whats going on with us, and whoever else you'd care to invite, it terms of important things, moving around, visiting, etc etc.
Disturbingly I keep looking back on life only to see regrets, a regret that may slay me would be the loss of the good friends I has back then. People who get the jokes, people who play the games. Infact, now that we're at uni with phat connections - what say we get a clan going? No-one I know really plays PC games up here. We could clean up at Q3 or AoE or even a new game (we've been looking for one for sooo long ;)

I think this could be a good idea if it works the way I hope it will.
